Dr Elrashidy and several other physicians and staff from Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists recently attended Pleasanton’s First Wednesday Festival. During the street festival, they discussed common Orthopedic issues and answered questions from Pleasanton-area community members. They’ll be back again for next month’s festival.

For the past 3 years, Dr. Elrashidy has been asked to serve as Faculty and Master Instructor at several educational courses hosted by the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). Dr. Elrashidy has taught at both the yearly “Introduction to Arthroscopy” course, designed to teach orthopedic surgeons in-training the fundamentals of shoulder and knee arthroscopy. The past 2 years, he also served as master instructor at AANA’s Masters Shoulder course. Orthopedic surgeons from the community and from all over the world attend these courses to learn the latest in shoulder and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Along with several other Northwestern Medicine physicians and experts in their field, Dr. Elrashidy spent an evening updating the community on the treatment of Sports Medicine Injuries for athletes of all ages. See the Chicago Tribune article for more about the evening of fun and education.
Dr. Elrashidy delivered the initial keynote lecture to several physicians including orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians and musculoskeletal radiologists at Lake County Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Society’s inaugural dinner. He updated the attendees on the latest in innovations for the treatment of cartilage injuries.

New Lake County Orthopaedic Surgeon Working to Improve Treatment of Shoulder Pain and Athletic Injury
Hany Elrashidy, M.D., new Shoulder and Sports Medicine specialist with Greenleaf Orthopaedics has been reaching out to educate local physicians and the community on shoulder pain and sports injuries involving the shoulder and knee. He recently spent an evening talking with area primary care physicians and physical therapists about the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder pain. This included a summary of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon’s (AAOS) recently updated guidelines for the treatment of rotator cuff related shoulder pain.
